High 5 Bowling Mural

The good folks at High 5 bowling and entertainment center contacted us for a feature mural at their business. They liked the original Austin mural painted by Rory Skagen in 2007. To keep it original, Rory designed a new Austin mural design to set their business apart.
The People’s Pool Hall

My friend, renowned neon artist Todd Sanders, asked me to collaborate on The people’s pool hall sign. So, I painted Chairman Mao according to his design. It was fun to collaborate with such a great artist.
360 Condominiums

These panels were created for the 360 Condominiums in Austin, TX. Panels are a great way to cover the walls without the cost of on site painting. Also, they can be removed after relocation and be used elsewhere.

Magazine Illustration for Life and Letters

This 6′ x 4′ painting was designed and painted as an illustration for the publication, Life and Letters. After finishing the painting a high resolution photo was taken and scanned. This photo was then used by the magazine to illustrate their articale, The End of Austin. This painting is available for purchase. $3000.00
Marcia Ball CD Cover

This 4′ x 4′ painting was commissioned by Marcia Ball in 2014 for a CD cover for her album the “Tattooed Lady and the Alligator Man”. After discussing the theme the image was designed, approved and then painted. This painting is available for purchase. $2000.00
NVIDIA

Gensler architects came to Rory Skagen looking for a mural for NVIDIA’s lunch room for their new headquarters in Austin, TX. For this 33′ long mural, Rory created a shallow wood framing device spelling out “Austin” which frames painted versions of NVIDIA fan art.

More Home Slice

After their initial success, the people at Home Slice Pizza opened a second take out business in the building next to their original location. Since we had done the mural for the original location, they called us with this concept for their second restaurant.
